I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The indoor water park was a definite highlight for my family, keeping the kids entertained for hours. However, the room we were given had some issues, such as uncomfortable beds and no refrigerator. The hotel's location is a bit isolated, so dining options outside the property are limited, which was disappointing.

Rooms

The room had rustic decor, but the beds were uncomfortable and there was no refrigerator available.

While some staff were helpful, I encountered issues with the reservation process and check-out that were problematic.

8.4/10

Hope Lake Lodge is an excellent family destination with spacious, nicely appointed accommodations and a variety of fun activities. The indoor water park is a hit with the kids, and the dining options, especially the all-you-can-eat pasta night and brunch, are delightful. However, the experience can be impacted by noise from parties, especially when large groups are present, which detracts from the overall stay.

We stayed in the Eagle's Nest suite which was beautiful and spacious, featuring a full kitchen and unique rustic decor. The kids loved having their own area with bunk beds, and the murphy bed was a clever space-saver.
Service
7.0
The service was generally efficient, but the staff seemed overwhelmed during peak times, especially with the rowdy guests from the fraternity formals. They did offer us a discount for the troubles, which was appreciated despite the disruption.
Location

The lodge is situated conveniently near ski slopes and hiking areas, perfect for outdoor activities. It feels a bit remote but is within a reasonable drive from central MA.
Dining

The dining experiences were enjoyable with standout meals like the brunch buffet offering bottomless mimosas and a fantastic pasta night. Great variety and quality!

The indoor water park is fantastic, providing tons of fun options for the kids, and we particularly enjoyed the outdoor heated pool for a luxurious touch even in winter.

My stay at Hope Lake Lodge was quite a mixed bag. While the indoor water park was a huge hit with the kids, I found the overall experience disappointing. The slow check-in process and the lack of cleanliness in the rooms left a lot to be desired. Additionally, the dining options were overpriced and not worth it.

Rooms

We were initially placed in a room for two despite being three, and it was unclean with hair on the floor. After requesting a room change, we received a slightly upgraded room that still felt dusty.
Service

The customer service was hit or miss; while the young lad at the desk was helpful, the management seemed indifferent to our complaints.
Location

The lodge is located conveniently near outdoor activities, which is a plus, especially for skiing and hiking.

We found the food options at the lodge to be very overpriced and not worth the money. I suggest dining in nearby Cortland instead.
Facilities

The indoor water park was great for younger kids, but the overall facilities felt outdated and in need of maintenance.

5.8/10

I stayed at the lodge recently for a wedding and had mixed feelings about my experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and the vibe at the lobby was nice. However, the rooms left a lot to be desired considering the steep price. The dining options were disappointing as well, with some surprising food quality issues. Lastly, while the amenities such as the water park were fun for the kids, the overall experience didn’t quite match the luxury feel I expected.

Rooms
5.0
The room was spacious and had a lovely rustic decor, but cleanliness was a concern as I found toenail clippings on the floor, which was quite shocking. With a starting price of over $300 a night, I expected a safe and refrigerator, which weren't included. The bed was advertised as a queen but seemed smaller, and the bathroom was noisy with poor water pressure.
Service
8.0
The staff went above and beyond to help with various requests, which I really appreciated. However, the delay in check-in was frustrating, especially since we arrived with tired kids. I would rate their service quite positively for their attentiveness once we were there.
Location
7.0
The lodge is located in a nice area, close to outdoor activities. The proximity to the indoor water park was a highlight, but I found the cost for accessing it to be too high on top of our room rate.
Dining
5.0
We were disappointed with the restaurant. The menu felt overpriced for the basic quality, and we ended up leaving without eating because of a bad experience with one of the dishes. I wouldn't recommend dining at the lodge.
Facilities

The indoor water park was a great feature for our kids, and it was nice to have the option of an outdoor pool that was heated. The amenities cater well to families, providing plenty of activities for entertainment, although some prices felt excessive.

We had a mixed experience at Hope Lake Lodge. The indoor water park was a hit with the kids and the rooms were spacious and very clean. However, we faced frustrations with food options and check-in times that left us feeling a bit undervalued as guests. Overall, while the hotel has potential for a fun family vacation, certain aspects need improvement for a more satisfying stay.

Rooms

Our Loon Hollow Suite was incredibly spacious for our family, providing plenty of room for my wife, three kids, and me. Everything was really clean and gave us a sense of comfort during our stay.
Service
9.0
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, quickly handling our request to switch to a larger room. Their eagerness to help added a nice touch to our stay.
Location
7.0
The lodge is situated in a beautiful setting close to outdoor activities, which we appreciated, but the access after the snow was challenging due to inadequate snow removal.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was disappointing; the food quality at the Acorn Grille didn't match the prices charged, and we struggled with limited options during our stay.
Facilities
6.0
While the indoor water park offered fun for the kids, it wasn't as extensive as we anticipated, which could be a downside for families with older children looking for more excitement.
